David Gottlieb

David Gottlieb is Professor of Haematology at the University of Sydney and Program Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit at Westmead Hospital in Sydney and medical director of the Sydney Cellular Therapies Laboratory. His research focuses on the rapid reconstitution of immunity in patients undergoing stem cell transplantation using manipulations of the immune system to enhance resistance to infection, tumour recurrence and reduce the risk of GVHD. He trained at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, the Royal Free Hospital in London and spend a year as a visiting scholar at the Hospital San Raffaele in Milan. He is a past president of the Haematology Society of Australia.
